These girls want to become teachers. The girls live in slum dwellings with their families in a city in Bangladesh. They used to be street beggars, asking for any amount of money that could help their families. Today, though, they are involved in the OneLife day-shelter for girls, where they are loved, cared for and educated. This shelter prevents child trafficking and child marriages by providing free education and skills training, meals and medical care for beggar girls. Since the girl’s shelter is free, parents are willing to let their girls go to the shelter, learn useful skills and grow up before they are married. Each girl’s dream of becoming a teacher could become a reality.
